BROOK VALE WINE

Brook Vale Wine is a conceptual brand and packaging design project centered around tactile experience and human connection.

At the core of the design is a subtle handprint impression—used not just as a texture, but as a symbol. It nods to wine’s deep-rooted history in human culture, suggesting that wine, like the fingerprint itself, is something that’s been engrained in us for generations.

Through restrained typography, negative space, and intentional materiality, Brook Vale shifts the wine shopping experience from passive glance to tactile engagement—bringing quiet presence and story to the shelves.

DELIVERABLES

A dual-label packaging system for red and white wines, a branded wine box to support retail and gifting contexts, and a series of high-fidelity mockups to visualize shelf presence and tactile interaction.

PROBLEM

The challenge was to create a cohesive branding system for a conceptual wine company that could stand out in a saturated market—where traditional labels often blend together. The goal was to design an identity that felt elevated yet familiar, and to reimagine the wine shopping experience by encouraging customers to physically engage with the bottle, rather than just glance at it on the shelf.

RESULTS

Received positive critique from faculty and peers for strategic use of touch, restraint, and storytelling.

Successfully reimagined the wine shopping experience through human-centered packaging, creating a design that encourages physical interaction over visual noise.

1 complete product experience built to simulate real-world application: from shelf to hand to cart.
